I’m a writer and an animal lover. My favorite hobbies are horseback riding and painting with watercolors (my most recent endeavor). I’ve written a few published short stories and I’m currently in the process of submitting my middle grade novel to various publishers. The story is about an eleven-year-old boy experiencing life from a wheelchair. I’m also writing a young adult fantasy/sci-fi novel that I hope to finish this year.
Twenty-two years ago I was diagnosed with a condition called Transverse Myelitis. I have a legion at the c5 level of my spinal chord, which ultimately means I’m an incomplete quadriplegic. I have fairly good use of my upper body and no use of my legs. Over the years (through the grace of my Heavenly Father), I’ve learned to accept and manage my situation with humor and dignity.
Recently, however, I’ve come to realize that the journey isn’t easy and we can often benefit from the support of others. For this reason I started “blogging”. I hope my posts encourage people to have courage and faith as they read my humorous, spiritual and sometimes challenging anecdotes about life from a quadriplegic’s perspective.
You can find my short stories on Amazon by following the links below. The stories are in my married name, Sue Lamoree and maiden name, Sue Hutchinson.
